My Plans For My Trailer

Silence of the damned

list of characters.
Antagonist:
Lucy Greenwood
Protagonist:
Mathew Lockland
Other characters.
Rose Lee
Jessica Hetcher
Rachael Freemand

Plot of the film.
A group of friends (Antagonist- the murderer, Protagonist- the [role of the] detective and friends),  are hanging out together in the woods after all of them were dared to stay there over night by an unknown caller (This is not uncommon and so they decided to go suspecting it was one of the group trying to pull a prank). They have known and trusted each other for a very long time [using Todorov's theory- the equilibrium] and so when members of the group start to go missing, one by one¸ everyone suspect it is a prank by one of their friends. Bodies start turning up one after another and the friends that are left become scared, wondering who will be next [disequilibrium]. One of the groups becomes suspicious and tries to find out who is creating the chaos but when it comes to the epic battle between two friends only one can survive. Getting away with murder, life seems to go back to normal for the antagonist (equilibrium), but seeing new friends sparks up deja vu.

Trailer idea.

Image of a dead girl comes on screen - sound of a scream.

Black screen saying 'Silence is a girls loudest cry.'

Scene 1: laying to rest in the woods.

A group of people in the woods surrounding a grave made by them where a body of their friend is buried. (pan) Each person has their head down and throws soil on the grave that has been made.

Black screen saying 'But what happens when no one hears her?'

Scene 2: Girls of the grave.

(Close up) of one of the girls by the grave paying her respects, when the main character (murderer: female) bites her on the neck. - sound of screams (close up view of eyes). The girl falls on top of the grave of the first victim.

Black screen saying 'With a personality no one can handle is anyone safe?'

Scene 3: Friends of the dead.

(Mid shot) of a person investigating the murder and holding the body.

Black screen saying 'But when looking for the answers, you might not like what you find.'

Scene 4: Grave danger.

Two graves side by side. Jumps to a girl alone in the woods (voice over of girls voice saying "I'm scared" pans around her) murderer jumps out at girl and bites her with the investigator watching in the background.

Scene 5: A murderous tale.

Black screen saying 'The truth can be painful.'

The investigator stabs the murderer with a stick but the murderer keeps walking forward as though they was not affected.

Black screen saying 'Can anyone stop her?'

Black screen showing title of film: Silence of the damned
Black screen saying ' Coming soon to a theatre near you.'

Murderers face jumps out.

Results to My Questionnaire

65% of the 40 participants who took part in answering my questionnaire were female. This means that only 14 people who answered my questionnaire were male. Asking this question gives me a basic breakdown between the males and females that answered the questionnaire.

This feedback helped me understand the general age of partisipants and let me know which age groups were more interested in watching films. The age of the participants who filled out a questionnaire varied but showed that the younger viewers, under the age of 25, were more willing to answer the questionnaire. This means that i can aim my film/ trailer at the more promanant age group.

This feedback helped me understand what genre of film the partisipants liked most of all and let me know which is most likely to be the most popular genre of film for other people. This would have been assumed because of the results given from the sample who answered my questionnaire. The genre of films mostly watched was horror and thriller films, next being dramas, folowing that action. This  also means that i can aim my film/ trailer at the more promanant genre, possibly adding a small amount of drama and adventure into my trailer so that i can capture the largest possible audience.

This feedback helped me understand how often the partisipants of my questionnaire watch films.  Mostly my partisipants would watch a film once a week or a few times a week. this means that if people watch films often they know what types of films they like, and so this means i would have to make my trailer eye-catching so that people would want to watch the film when it came out.
